The Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine discusses its preparations for the second international Al-Ameed Award

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine held a preparatory meeting to discuss preparations for the Al-Ameed international award for the recitation of the Holy Quran in its second edition.

The meeting was chaired by the member of the board of Directors of the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine; Sayed Laith al-Mousawi, and was attended by a number of heads of departments, divisions and centers affiliated with the holy shrine.

The prize is held by the scientific complex of the Holy Quran at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine, with the participation of readers from 53 Arab and foreign countries, and will be launched with the advent of the holy month of Ramadhan.

At the beginning of the meeting, al-Mousawi stressed the importance of the award and that the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine pays great attention to the Holy Quran and seeks through this award to convey its lofty message to all age groups in Iraq and abroad.

"Through this competition, we emphasize the importance of promoting Quranic culture among young people, and the need to invest social media platforms in spreading this awareness,"he added.

Al-Mousawi stressed the need for all departments at the holy shrine to exert maximum efforts to organize the second edition of the award according to the highest standards, facilitate the arrival of participating delegations, and ensure the acceleration of visa procedures to ensure the attendance of international contestants on time.

For his part, the deputy head of the complex, Dr. Alaa al-Mousawi, said: "the meeting is part of a series of meetings aimed at preparing for the establishment of the second international Al-Ameed award, and coordination between the various departments of the holy shrine, to ensure the success of this edition of the award."

He added, "the meeting discussed many important organizational aspects, including: how to receive and accommodate guests and contestants, and organize their transfers from accommodation to the headquarters of the award's studio, which contributes to its success in general, "pointing to" identifying the key points to ensure coordination between the relevant departments and ensure the presentation of a competition befitting the level of participants and the award."

The assistant head of the complex confirmed that"the filming of the award events will take place throughout the days of the holy month of Ramadhan, in a special forum for the contestants, with the announcement of the results of the winners at the end of the holy month".

The international Ameed award is one of the contributions of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to the dissemination of Quranic culture, as the correct method for the goodness of the individual and society.
