With great attendance, the activities of the First National Quran Contest for teams continue..

For the ninth day in row and within the month of Ramadan program of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, the activities of the first national Quran contest for teams, held by the center of training readers and learners at the Holy Quran Institute of the holy shrine during these blessed days of the month of Quran, the holy month of Ramadan and at the pure and holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), continue between the participating teams, that are 24 teams from ten Iraqi provinces, every night four teams of three members (a reader, learner [hafid] and a interpreter) compete under the rules of the contest, which is attended by a large number of visitors and supporters of the participating teams in this event.
The asked questions are diversified, there are questions for the reader, for example there is a raffle for reading few verses that the reader is required to read in a particular way [maqam], or the reader listen to one of the ancient egyptian readers and is asked about his name. As for the learner [hafid], he is requested to complete a verse or two Hafid continue each other recitation by memorization, which is called chase in memorization. and as for the interpreter, he is asked to interprete the meaning of certain verse in addition to other Quranic questions.
The Judging Committee is composed of four members; Mr. AlaUddin Hammoud teacher of recitation rules in the Holy Quran Institute, the international reader Ali Hamid Al-Bayati teacher of voice and tune from the province of Dhi Qar, Mr. Salim Jari teacher of interpretation and recitation rules, and Sayed.
