In the presence of its Senior Official... The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine holds its weekly mourning council in commemoration of the seventh of Muharram

The General Secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine held its weekly mourning assembly to commemorate the seventh day of the month of Muharram.

The council was attended by the Senior Official of the holy shrine, His Eminence Sayed Ahmad Al-Safi, several of its officials and staff, and a group of mourning visitors.

The council began with a blessed recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reader Muhammad Redha Al-Zubaidi, followed by a lecture delivered by Sheikh Hazem Al-Attawani, in which he discussed the journey of Imam al-Hussayn, his family, and his companions (peace be upon them) to Karbala, and the heroism of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in the Battle of Ashura and his martyrdom.

The council concluded with the recitation of elegies and poems that embodied the painful memory, amidst an atmosphere of sorrow that enveloped the attendees.

The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine is keen on holding Hussaini councils with the aim of reviving the memory of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and conveying their knowledge, virtues, and noble conduct.
