The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has reinforced its medical plan for the Arbaeen pilgrimage by deploying more than 13 ambulances and 100 paramedics with medical specialities, aiming to provide health support and medical care for the visitors.
The head of the University and School Relations Division of the Public Relations Department at the holy shrine, Mr. Maher Khaled, said: "The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has developed a comprehensive plan in coordination with its Medical Affairs Department, which includes deploying more than 13 ambulances accompanied by trained medical staff at various locations along the visitors' route."
He added that more than 100 university students from medical colleges participated in implementing this plan after receiving specialised courses on first aid, patient and casualty transport, and handling emergency situations in the field.
Khaled explained that these efforts are part of providing a safe environment and health services for the visitors of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), and ensuring a quick response to any emergencies during the days of Arbaeen pilgrimage.
