The servants of the two holy shrines commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household)

The servants of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them) commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of the Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) through a unified mourning procession.

The procession offered condolences to Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), with the participation of several officials from the two holy shrines.

The Deputy Head of the Security Department, Mr. Reda Naji Al-Amiri, said: "The servants of the holy shrines of al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them) have annually commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of the Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) through a unified mourning procession, where expressions of sorrow and grief were echoed for this painful tragedy."

He added that "the procession started from inside the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), after its servants were organised into groups, and then they headed towards the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), passing through the area between the two holy shrines."

For his part, Mr. Ali Mamitha from the Public Relations Department explained that "the procession concluded its journey in the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine with a mourning council, attended by the staff of the two holy shrines and a group of visitors, where poems and elegies were recited that resonate with the impact of this tragedy on the hearts of the believers."

The servants of the two holy shrines are keen on commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of the Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) and his family (peace be upon them) throughout the year through a unified mourning procession.
