The people of the holy city of Karbala commemorate the seventh day of the martyrdom of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) with a great procession, which is a tradition that the people of the city used to do every year on this occasion.
The procession was launched on Saturday of 17th of Muharram 1437 AH corresponding to the 31st of October, 2015 after the night prayers, from the road of Al-Qiblah of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) to enter his holy shrine to hold a funeral Majlis. The participating crowds in this procession headed to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine through the courtyard between the two holy shrine, chanting slogans that reflect the greatness of this sorrowful tragedy on the Islamic nation.
At the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), the procession has held another funeral Majlis, led by Sheikh 'Ala Al-Khateeb the son of Sheikh Hadi Al-Karbalai; the late preacher of Karbala, in which he recalled the servants of the Hussayni march of the rawadeed, preachers and poets who have a major role in the revival of these Hussayni occasions.
It is worth mentioning that the condolences procession of the servants of the two holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both oft hem) was launched yesterday Saturday, led by a number of officials and heads of the departments in addition to the crowds of visitors who came to the holy city of Karbala to commemorate this sad occasion, which is a tradition that the followers of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) used to do every year to commemorate the seventh day of the martyrdom of Imam Al-Hussayn, his family and companions(peace be upon them).
