The Al-Kafeel Museum delegation tours the International Book Fair in Iraq to enhance its library with new resources

A delegation from the Kafeel Museum of Treasures and Manuscripts, affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, conducted a tour at the Baghdad International Book Fair to acquire new resources that would enhance the museum's library and enrich its scientific and intellectual holdings.

The assistant head of the museum department, Dr. Shawqi Al-Mousawi, said: "The tour of the exhibition aims to acquire a distinguished collection of heritage and artistic sources related to museum and archaeological work, which are considered important references for researchers, scholars, and those interested in the science of museums, archaeology, and Islamic arts."

He added that "this tour and the acquisition processes come within the framework of enhancing the scientific and knowledge infrastructure of the museum's staff and supporting specialised studies in its collections and treasures, in addition to providing the latest references and periodicals that contribute to the development of museum work and the revival of heritage according to modern academic standards."

Al-Moussawi confirmed that "this step aligns with the museum's vision to enhance its research capabilities and support documentation and study projects with reliable and modern sources."
