The Women's Religious Schools Division of the Office of the Legal Custodian for Women's Affairs at the Abbasid Holy Shrine announced the participation of approximately 2,600 women in the activities of the eighth International Women's Cultural Festival of the Spirit of Prophethood.
The department is organizing the festival under the slogan (Fatima Al-Zahra -peace be upon her- the Two Lights: Prophethood and Imamate), with the title (Fatima Al-Zahra -peace be upon her- Building Awareness and Reviving Values), and it will last for three days.
The head of the department, Ms. Bushra Al-Kanani, said: "The activities of the eighth Spirit of Prophethood Festival witness the participation of around 2,600 female figures, including academics, researchers, Quran reciters, and poets, from several Arab and foreign countries."
She explained that the aim of holding the festival, which is associated with the character of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (peace be upon her), is to establish her as a model for the chaste Muslim woman, especially in light of the challenges facing women today, thru scientific research and various types of participation.
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine aims, through the festival, to spread the noble meanings from the life of Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her), encourage female researchers to shed light on her blessed personality, and enrich the scientific library with research outputs that focus on the thoughts of the Lady of the Women of the Worlds (peace be upon her).
