The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine organized its mourning assembly for the second day, commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).

The council was held in the reception hall within the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), attended by several officials of the holy shrine and its servants, along with a group of visitors.

The head of the Hussaini preaching division at the holy shrine, Sheikh Abdul-Sahib Al-Tha'i, said: "The council focused on the stances of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) and his application of justice in society, explaining how he confronted the corruption that some groups benefited from by exploiting the material resources of the Islamic state, and how Imam Ali (peace be upon him) was able to deliver justice to the oppressed and restore rights to their rightful owners."

He added, "The council addressed the martyrdom of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) and what he advised his sons and close companions, in addition to his reception of orphans and his care for them even in his final days, affirming the values of mercy and justice that he embodied in his blessed life."
