In numbers.. The Service Affairs Department outlines its plan to provide visitors and Hussaini processions with water and ice

The Service Affairs Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine clarified the details of its special plan to provide visitors and Hussaini processions with water and ice to ensure their needs are met.

The assistant head of the department, Mr. Aws Taher Mahdi, said, "The department has raised its operational readiness to the highest levels, utilizing the capabilities of its ice and water factories to support the Hussaini processions spread throughout the old city and the vicinity of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)."

He explained that "the plan includes providing the processions daily with 2000 ice blocks and 2000 bags of crystalline ice produced in the Euphrates and Al-Alqami factories; to ensure the provision of cooling means and services for the visitors."

He added that "the department distributes 7,000 boxes of bottled drinking water daily, produced in the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine factory, to the service processions within the old city, in addition to providing 40,000 liters of chilled RO water pumped into water dispensers spread around the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and inside the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to ensure cold drinking water for visitors around the clock."

Mahdi explained that "the plan also includes allocating 9,000 liters of water daily for cooking, in addition to providing the processions spread throughout the old city and the vicinity of the holy shrine with 100,000 liters of water daily for washing utensils."
