The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine's restaurant holds its annual mourning assembly to commemorate Ashura

The Restaurant Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine held its annual mourning assembly to commemorate the tragedies of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) on Ashura.

The council was held in the guest hall in the presence of the Deputy Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine, Mr. Abbas Mousa Ahmed, several members of its board of directors and officials, and a gathering of mourners.

The head of the department, Mr. Adel Jafar, said: The council was held under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine, on the seventh day of Muharram, dedicated to Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

He added that the council organizes an annual gathering on this day to commemorate the stances of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and his eternal sacrifices on Ashura, and to recall his loyalty to Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine continues, through its various departments and formations, to commemorate the Ashura days by holding mourning councils and religious and cultural events, to embody loyalty to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and to mourn the calamities and tribulations that befell during the tragic event of Karbala.
