The Medical Affairs Department is preparing an evacuation plan in anticipation of the Ziyarat on the 13th of Muharram

The Medical Affairs Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has developed a comprehensive medical evacuation plan in preparation for the Ziyarat on the thirteenth of Muharram, the anniversary of the burial of the pure bodies of Imam al-Hussayn, his family (peace be upon them), and his companions.

The head of the department, Dr. Haifa Al-Tamimi, said: "The medical evacuation plan for the Ziyarat on the 13th of Muharram includes preparing 75 volunteers to carry out initial evacuation operations inside the courtyard of the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), distributed at the gates of Imam Mohammad Al-Jawad and Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon them) and the Gate of the Hand; with the aim of ensuring a quick response to emergencies and speeding up medical evacuation operations when needed."

She added that "the department has prepared 5 small ambulance vehicles equipped with paramedics, in addition to 5 large ambulance vehicles, as well as training 65 female volunteers, including doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and health staff, to work in women's medical centers, which contributes to supporting medical evacuation operations, providing health services to visitors, and ensuring a quick response to emergencies."

Al-Tamimi indicated that "the medical centers affiliated with the department are fully prepared to provide medical and emergency services and ensure the safety of visitors. These include the Sayed Jaafar Al-Hilli Emergency Medical Services Center, the as-Siddiqa Al-Tahira (peace be upon her) Medical Center for women, the Umm Al-Baneen (peace be upon her) Medical Center for men, in addition to the Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) detachment."
