The Grid Manufacturing Department is conducting maintenance work on the silver door of Imam Al-Redha (peace be upon him)

The Department of Manufacturing Holy Shrine Grids and Doors at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine conducted maintenance work on the silver door of Imam Al-Redha (peace be upon him) installed in the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

The assistant head of the department, Engineer Hossam Mohammed, said, "Our technical teams carried out maintenance work in several stages; this was after reinforcing the wooden structure of the door to correct its alignment due to the wear of its parts over time. Its height is 3.10 meters and its width is 2.40 meters."

He added that "the work included cleaning the noble door using polishing and buffing materials specifically made to handle precious metals that adorn the grids and holy doors like gold and silver, to ensure their protection and highlight their shine and luster without affecting the precision of their decorative engravings."

Mohammed explained that "the door is made entirely of pure silver, and maintenance work is being carried out due to its age as part of the periodic plan prepared by the department to maintain all the doors and grids inside the holy shrine in order to present them in their most splendid form."
