Within the preparations for the holy month of Ramadan, the centre of preparations of readers and memorizers at the Institute of the Holy Quran of the Department of the Islamic and human knowledge affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, has conducted a test for the readers who wish to participate in the Quranic Khatma, held by the Institute inside the holy sanctuary every year during the holy month of Ramadan.
These tests were conducted at the headquarters of the centre with the participation of a number of the readers from inside and outside the holy city of Karbala, under the supervision of a specialized committee including Sheikh Mudhar Al-Sahhaf professor of Tajweed rules, Sheikh Khairaddin Ali Al-Hadi professor of Waqf and ibtida and the reader Seraj Mounir professor of the voice and quranic melody. The readers were then selected for the Khatma that will be held from the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.
It is to mention that the Institute of the Holy Quran holds several forums and Quranic evenings in the holy city of Karbala and other provinces, aiming the dissemination of the Quran's culture in the community in order to create generation linked to the holy Quran and following the guidance of the two weighs; the holy Quran and Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
