The factories of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine continues manufacturing high efficiency Concrete Products, as after proving its success through their use in the project of the holy shrine, it has begun taking more space inside the labour market in Karbala and in the private and public sectors in its first phase, planning to expand its production and marketing in the future according to the developed plans.
The plants produce:
1- The hollow cement blocks in various types, sizes and measurement to fit with the consumers' needs.
2- Pavements' bricks, produced in different forms, dimensions and measurements.
3- The lateral template in various forms and sizes according to international standards and in different geometric forms to suit what is currently being used. It is characterized by its strength, hardness and resistance to external shocks, as well as manufacturing some types in high stability colours, substituting colouring the sidewalks.
4- Ready-mixed concrete material, with high technical features using computer methods for mixing cement, gravel and sand, which has proven its success through their use in many projects.
For the purpose of control and laboratory tests follow-up, an in-site laboratory was created to examine the produced materials under the supervision of specialized staff to prove the efficiency of the product according to the standards of the Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control.
These plants declare its readiness to provide both the private and public sectors with these products, by reviewing the factory's site located on the road to Baghdad and to look closely at these products.
It is to note that the plants of Concrete products are among the important infrastructures' factories of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, that was established to meet the need of the domestic market of these materials and to contribute to develop them with quality and competitive prices compensating the foreign import, participating in raising the proportion of the investment of the local materials from the raw material efficiency, as cement, sand and gravel, for the purpose of assisting in the investment of the available human energy and the reduction of unemployment through employing the national labour force.
