The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine accomplishes more than 150 urban and service projects at one billion dollars during 13 years.

The representative of the Supreme Religious Authority His Eminence Sayed Ahmed al-Safi has announced the total amount of disbursements of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to accomplish strategic projects and small, medium and large infrastructure projects on Saturday evening on the inauguration ceremony of the roofing of the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) within its expansion project, which is one of the giant and important construction projects with service character, accomplished by the Engineering Projects Department at the holy shrine through the Iraqi engineering company "Ard al-Quds", to provide an area for 20 thousand additional visitors with the same services. This announcement is the first of its kind in the media in this regard.

The senior official of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has stated: "And I will explain for whoever interested to know the answer to some questions, we are honored to be in the service of the holy shrine since 2003, and we state that the total funds disbursed on the construction and service projects of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine during 13 years is only one billion dollars, and if we divide this sum, we will have expenses of 76 million dollars per year, noting that the holy shrine has more than 150 projects and 40 ones that are still at the Ministry of planning because of financial problems, and other projects that were approved by the Shiite Endowment but still wait for the financial liquidity."

And Sayed al-Safi has indicated previously to al-Kafeel Global Network of the News Unit at the Internet Division: "The comprehensive cost of the operational costs including salaries, fuel maintenance... etc. and the investments costs are the total sum of the shrine's balance from the Shiite Endowment as the largest part and the gifts and vows of the holy shrine's grid."

And the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, his eminence Sayed Ahmed al-Safi has highlighted in the second sermon of Friday prayer of the 18th of Jumada II 1438 AH corresponding to the 17th of March 2017, has hinted to the imbalance in the joints of the state administration, considering a betrayal of the trust, indicating: "if you are not truthful and trustworthy person it is better for you to leave your position for someone who respect his duties and render the trusts to whom they are due."

For his part, the head of the Engineering Projects Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine Engineer dea' Majeed al-Sa'egh has stated to al-Kafeel Network: "There is a series of mega-projects implemented by the staff of the department or that were supervised by them after being referred to Iraqi companies or implemented by other departments.
