The closing ceremony of the ninth cultural festival of Safety

After four days of research, the ninth annual cultural festival of safety in the province of Diwaniya was concluded on Thursday 21st of Sha'baan 1438 AH corresponding to the 18th of May 2017, held by the cultural foundation of Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) in cooperation with the holy shrines of Imam Ali, of Imam al-Hussayn and of Imam al-Kadhem and Imam al-Jawad and of al-Abbas (peace be upon all of them) under the slogan: "The way of meeting and seeing in the gathering of the vowed hearts" to celebrate the birth anniversary of the awaited Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance) and to contribute to present the Mahdawi issue with modern mechanisms directed to the mind and spirit and that are built on doctrinal and ideological pillars derived from the Book of Allah and the words and sayings of the Holy Prophet and Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

The closing ceremony was held in the sports hall of the province and was attended by religious, cultural and academic figures, as well as delegations representing Arab and Islamic countries in addition to representatives of the holy shrines and sanctuaries in Iraq. It was launched by a recitation of verses from the holy Quran followed by a research of Sheikh Ahmad al-Dur al-'Ameli from Lebanon, entitled: "The seal of proofs between the completion of the proof [hujjah] and showing the religion". Followed by honoring the family of the martyr Abd al-Aziz al-'keyli, and the wounded fighter Rahim Mandhoor al-Makhadhiri in appreciation for their sacrifices.

This blessed ceremony was concluded by presenting the thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of this festival from the participants, media and supporting bodies.

Noting that before the closing ceremony, there was a ceremony in the morning to honor the outstanding orphans, which is central ceremony held annually within the festival to honor the outstanding students who are orphans in the province of Qadisiyah.

The participants in the festival from the researchers and media has confirmed that the festival has succeeded to create a sound Mahdawi culture in the community of Diwaniyah, through several activities, including research sessions in which important research have been presented having the role to promote the culture of the positive and active waiting of Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance) by spreading this meaning to each member of the society. There was also an exhibition of the cultural book and plastic arts, painting, decoration and calligraphy. The participants have also pointed out that this year the festival was characterized by its good organization and the multiple places where the exhibitions were held as well as the level of professors and lecturers from inside and outside Iraq.

It is noteworthy that the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine had a distinguished participation in this festival through its participation in the Book Fair, where it participated with a series of publications, represented by the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, and the participation of the Department of Service Affairs (Agriculture Division) in the exhibition of seedlings and ornamental and shade plants, as well as preparing the hall and decorating it with flowers and natural roses and preparing the hall of celebration and the exhibition. Also the engineering and technical cadres in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine have contributed to the preparation of the requirements of the festival.
