Thanks to the celebrations of the victory achieved by the security forces and the popular mobilization over the terrorist gangs of ISIL in the city of Mosul, liberating it to be embraced by the dear homeland. The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine was not absent from this scene, as it has celebrated those who were the cause of this great achievement; the martyrs who have sacrificed their blood to write the victory over ISIL members and those who support them.

The Department of Religious Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has formed a delegation under the guidance of its General Secretariat to visit the families of the popular mobilization's martyrs to congratulate them for the victory that was achieved thanks to the blood and sacrifices of their valiant sons. The tour was in two stations:

The celebration was attended by more than 150 martyrs families, and many speeches and poems were given, including the word of the head of the delegation; Sheikh Salah al-Karbala`i who has stated that this celebration is part of a project adopted by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to honor the families of the martyrs of Iraq, especially the martyrs of the popular mobilization. A project that was launched according to the directives of the supreme religious authority since the launch of the Fatwa of the defense of Iraq and its sanctities, and which is still ongoing by the holy shrine." Sheikh al-Karbala`i has also hailed the great sacrifices of those heroes who had given the most precious; their lives for the sake of Iraq and its sanctities."

The second: The province of Dhi Qar, the ceremony included 140 families of the martyrs of this province.

The honor ceremony has also included providing them with some financial and in-kind assistance, as well as gifts from the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and coupons of meals at the host restaurant of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

Sheikh Majed al-Sultani, member of the delegation has said: "The aim and purpose of this ceremony is to pay tribute to these families, and providing them with the necessary support to the families of the martyrs and wounded in compliance with the directives of the supreme religious authority."

For their part, the martyrs' families praised the initiative of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, considering it as a moral gesture rather than a material one, and encouraging them to continue to make more sacrifices in order to purge all lands that were raped by the terrorist gangs of ISIL.

It is noteworthy that based on the guidelines of the supreme religious authority to provide the necessary support for the families of the martyrs and the wounded, the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has prepared an integrated program that includes the organization of successive visits to the wounded and the martyrs' families in all parts of Iraq without exception, in order to communicate with them, fulfilling their needs, and to give them the necessary care and the suitable tribute. These visits are continuous until visiting all the families of the martyrs who were killed for the sake of the defence of the homeland, answering the advisory opinion [fatwa] of the sufficient duty of Jihad for the defence of Iraq and its holy sites.
