The Engineering Projects Department launches the distribution of the keys of the al-Abbas (p) residential compound.

After the completion of the work on the residential compound of al-Abbas (peace be upon him) for housing the employees of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and its inauguration last week, the Department of Projects started the distribution of the keys of the 831 housing units to the beneficiaries according to the schedule prepared by the Department, dividing the residents into groups.

Head of the Engineering Projects Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Engineer Dea Majeed al-Sa'egh and the supervisor of the distribution process, stated: "This week, we started distributing the keys of the residential compound of al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to its beneficiaries by 50 beneficiaries a day with an official receipt. On the other hand, the beneficiary can make a local inspection of his housing unit and in case of any defect or deficiency, it is registered in the official receipt document so that we can address the executing company to treat it in accordance with the contract signed between us."

And he added: "The project executing company, Al-Sibtayn General Contracting Company, has expressed its readiness to deal with any problems, if any, as soon as possible, since the project has been implemented in multiple stages, which is likely to leave some of the damages and problems in the finishing works."

Mr. al-Sa'egh has confirmed: "We respect our promise to the beneficiaries to take their housing units without any shortage and according to the technical and engineering specifications agreed upon."

It is worth mentioning that the al-Abbas (p) residential compound is the first residential compound in the province of Karbala on an area of 305.000 m2 for 831 horizontal houses with their infrastructures, streets, and service, health, education and entertainment buildings, and located on a strategic location midway between Najaf and Babylon on the road linking Karbala to Babylon and Karbala to Najaf.

It is to note that the aim of this project is in appreciation of the efforts of the employees of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in the service of the visitors of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and in order to provide them with the adequate housing and in accordance with the world developments in the field of housing. It will be distributed on them in a supported price and with convenient instalments.
