The delegation of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy shrine attends the rituals of the replacement of the two flags of the holy domes of Imam al-Kadhem and Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon both of them) with the flags of sadness.

To renew the pledge to the Holy Prophet and his Ahl al-Bayt (Allah's prayers be upon them), a delegation representing the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has attended the annual rituals to replace the flags of the two domes of Imam al-Kadhem and Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon both of them) with the black flags of sadness to recall the tragedy of the martyrdom of Imam Mohammad al-Jawad (peace be upon him). The ceremony was held in the holy shrine of the Imams al-Kadhem and al-Jawad (peace be upon both of them) on the 25th of Dhu al-Qi'dah 1438 AH corresponding to the August 18, 2017 amid the atmosphere of spirituality filled with sadness and grief that overshadowed the sky of this holy place.

These rituals were attended by the Secretary-General of the holy shrine of Imams al-Kadhem and al-Jawad (peace be upon both of them), members of the Board of Directors, representatives of the holy shrines and sanctuaries and a number of professors and dignitaries of the Hawza, a number of government and social figures, security leaders, the servants of the shrine, the processions of the city and a large crowd of the visitors of two Imams (peace be upon them).

The ceremony started with the recitation of verses from the holy Quran, followed by the participation of the processions of the Kadhemiyah city with commemorative rituals bearing the banners of allegiance in this painful occasion.

Followed by the word of the Secretariat of the holy shrine of Imams al-Kadhem and al-Jawad (peace be upon both of them), delivered by its Secretary-General, in which he has spoken about the some of the characteristics, morals and science of Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him) and the greatness of the tragedy of his martyrdom a young man.

Then the green flags were replaced by the black ones, and the ceremony concluded with a series of eulogies and grief poems delivered by the servant of the two Imams (peace be upon the); Radood Karrar al-Kadhemi.
