With the participation of 2000 students: The two holy shrines conclude Quranic courses for university students and institutes.

Babylon University hosted the closing ceremony of the Quranic courses for students of Iraqi universities, which are part of the Quranic project adopted by the two holy shrines of the Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), in which 2000 students from various Iraqi universities and institutes participated.

The closing ceremony was held in the hall of the martyr Sayed Mohamad Baqer al-Sadr at the University of Babylon amid the presence of a number of professors and students of graduate studies and academics and a large collection of students involved in this project.

After the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran, there was a word for the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) delivered on behalf of the director of the institute of the Holy Quran at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sheikh Jawad al-Nasrawi in which he stated: "The two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) like the rest of the holy shrines, they were previously only a place for the Ziyarat, which was done by many with fear because of the former oppressive regime, and after its fall the right returned to its people and the administration of the holy shrines and their affairs returned to the supreme religious authority, where it was entrusted to the legitimate ruler. And then it took a wide horizon and larger scientific, intellectual and religious visions."

And he added: "Every meter and every Iwan of the holy shrines is a beacon of radiance for science and scientists, so that the thought of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) reach all parts of the globe. And all praise to God, many departments were opened in these holy shrines, aiming to disseminate the Quranic culture and the sciences of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), such as the Quran House at the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and the Institute of the Holy Quran at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine. The aim of this is to establish the Quranic culture and rooting this belief in the hearts of believers. These departments have several Quranic activities aimed at a group of the society, including this project from which 300 students from the Babylon University have graduated out of 2000 participants from the other Iraqi Universities."

The Presidency of the University of Babylon, in turn, thanked the holy shrines for their fruitful Quranic effort to its students, praising this great Quranic project.

At the end of the ceremony, appreciation certificates were distributed to students participating in this course.
