The al-'Ameed University hosts the Iraqi expatriate Dr. Alaa Haba from Watford University in the United Kingdom.

As part of its plan to take advantage of Iraq's immigrant minds and to create a suitable environment for their return or to benefit from their expertise in Iraqi academic institutions, the al-'Ameed University of the Higher Education and Education Authority at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, hosted the Iraqi expatriate Dr. Alaa Haba from the University of Watford in the United Kingdom.

After taking a tour in the university and learning about its educational curriculum, he expressed great admiration for this scientific edifice which will be of interest in the educational future in Iraq.

During this visit, Dr. Alaa Haba delivered a lecture entitled: (Artificial Intelligence and innovation in Medicine), in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Jassem Al-Marzougui and a large group of professors and a number of students.

The lecture, according to Dr. Alaa Haba, "lasted for two hours and dealt with the subject of artificial intelligence in medicine. It also included important information and explanations about the present and future dimensions of artificial intelligence, in addition to presenting a set of detailed scientific data directed to all faculty members and students, because it includes accurate scientific concepts that helps in developing scientific and practical experiences for them."

"We seek to deliver an important scientific message that we prepare students of medical school for the near future and the quality of medicine they will practice through scientific and technological development in terms of treatment, diagnosis and educational and training levels, as it will require great technology and scientific applications that lead to scientific and practical success."

It is noteworthy that the al-'Ameed University is one of the most important educational institutions of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and has opened the first Faculty of Medicine at the level of private medicine, by the application of a curriculum of global education, and in order to strengthen it, it occasionally organizes conferences, seminars, lectures and others activities.
