The opening ceremony of the fifth Festival of “Nasim [breeze of] Karbala in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad.

For the fifth year in a row, the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine participated in the cultural week held by the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) in cooperation with the Islamic University of al-Kawthar. The festival is held to create spiritual atmosphere of the two holy shrines to the lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in Pakistan. The opening ceremony of this festival was held on Thursday afternoon March 15, 2018 corresponding to the 26th of Jumada Thaniya 1439 AH in the presence of officials and scholars as well as the delegation of the two holy shrines and the Ambassador of Iraq in the State of Pakistan and a large number of citizens.

The opening ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reader Haj Adel al-Karbala'i the Mu'azzen of the two shrine followed by recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah in memory of the martyrs. Followed by the word of the President of Al-Kawthar University; Sheikh Ali Mohsen Al-Najafi, who welcomed the delegation of the two holy shrines, congratulating Iraqis for their victory over the international conspiracy, considering it a victory for humanity against barbarity...

Then came the word of the two holy shrines delivered by sheikh Munjid al-Ka'bi from the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) in which he stated that the festival of "Nasim of Karbala" is a link between the holy shrines in Karbala and the lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in the midst of the conflicts in the world, as Karbala continues to give lessons to all mankind in terms of devotion and sacrifice for the sake of the Islamic religion. Adding that this festival is an opportunity to convey the approach of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) to the world...

Then the two Hafez from the House of the Holy Quran of the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him); Hussein Abd al-Redha and Mustafa Latif recited some verses of the Holy Quran. The attendees then headed to the courtyard of the al-Kawthar University to hold the ceremony of raising the flags of Imam al-Hussayn and of his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), then to the opening of the exhibition of the two holy shrine held within the activities of the festival.
