The preparatory committee for the eleventh annual Central Cultural Festival for the birth anniversary of Imam al-Hassan al-Mojtaba (peace be upon him) announces the date of launching its activities.

The preparatory committee for the annual Central Festival of the birth anniversary of Imam al-Hassan al-Mojtaba (peace be upon him) in its 11th edition announced its date which will be from the 14th to the 16th of the holy month of Ramadhan in the gardens of the sanctuary of the miracle of Sun Return to Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in the Center of Babylon Province - Hilla City.

The festival is organized by the supreme council of the Hilla project in the city of Imam al-Hassan al-Mojtaba (peace be upon him) in cooperation with the Directorate of the Shiite Waqf in the province of Babylon under the auspices of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them).

The member of the Preparatory Committee of the festival and the deputy head of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed 'Aqeel Abd al-Hussayn al-Yassiri, explained to AlKafeel Network, saying: "The festival will be held for the eleventh year in a row under the slogan: (Imam al-Hassan - peace be upon him - the savior of the Muslims and the detector of hypocrites)," in order to revive and celebrate the auspicious birth anniversary of the beloved grandson of the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household); Imam al-Hassan al-Mojtaba (peace be upon him), and to highlight aspects of his life and biography through a number of activities, such as presenting research and studies about the life of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him), books and photographs and painting exhibitions, in addition to honoring a scholar in Hilla, and holding Quranic and poetic sessions over three days of the festival."

He added: "The festival this year is different from the previous editions, because Iraq celebrates victory and liberation of its territory from the desecration of the terrorist ISIL gangs, so we thought that this edition is distinctive and we will work for it."

It is noteworthy that this festival is the largest religious festival held annually to celebrate the birth anniversary of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him), and aims to demonstrate the message role led by the Imam (peace be upon him), and the statement of his positions towards Mu'awiyah; the ruling power in his time, to highlight the trials and tribulations faced by the Imam (peace be upon him) in his life, and to mention some of the commandments and the educational and guidance Hadith about the virtues of ethics and the secrets of worship, and work on the use of educational values ​​and the dissemination of human meanings embodied by his personality (peace be upon him).
