On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of its establishment: the Department of Hussayni Rites and Processions held a celebration and honored its representations.

The Department of Hussayni Rites and Processions in Iraq and the Islamic World, which is affiliated to the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), held a festive celebration on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of its foundation, on Saturday 7th of Dhu al-Qi'dah, 1439 AH corresponding to July 21, 2018 in the Hall of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in the large presence of heads and officials of units and representations of the department in the province of Karbala and the rest of the Iraqi provinces, as well as personalities and delegations represented many parties and representatives of the protection team of the square between the two holy shrines of the Karbala Police Directorate.

The ceremony was started by a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and reciting Surah Al-Fatiha in memory of the honorable martyrs of Iraq, followed by a speech by the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine delivered by Sheikh Ali Mohan from the religious affairs department, in which he stressed the importance of the revival of the matter of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) by these rituals that were urged by the imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). Urging them at the same time to adhere to them and do more to raise the word and voice of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), as the love of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and the revival of his matter is the best passport in this world.

The representations of the department in the provinces had a speech in this forum delivered on their behalf by Haj Saad al-Abdali, official of the Diwaniyah Representation, in which he stressed: "The Hussayni rituals are one of the most important legacy of the authentic religious, cultural and heritage atmosphere of public specificity, as their revival should be done through religious, educational and behavioral rituals to correct the ignorance, darkness and hypocrisy...e

The ceremony included a documentary film about the most important activities and events of the department in addition to a poem of the poet Karrar Karbalai. It was then concluded by the distribution of certificates of appreciation and honoring the heads of representations and units in the holy province of Karbala and other provinces, as well as honoring representatives of the protection team of the square between the two holy shrines of the Karbala Police Directorate.
