With the participation of a delegation from the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and amidst an atmosphere of sadness and sorrow mixed with the love and loyalty of the Holy Prophet Mohammad and Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). The masses of believers stood in the holy shrine of Imam al-Kadhem and Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon both of them) in mourning for the tragic martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him), where the General Secretariat of the Kadhemiya holy shrine held on the evening of Friday 27th of Dhu al-Qi'dah 1439 AH corresponding to August 10, 2018 the annual ceremony to replace the green banners above the shrine's domes with black banners to announce the mourning with the presence of representatives of the holy shrines and sanctuaries and Shiite Waqf departments, and a number of security leaders and religious and social figures, and a large gathering of visitors as well as the Secretary-General of the holy shrine of Imam al-Kadhem and Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon both of them); Professor Dr. Jamal Abdul Rasul al-Dabbagh, members of the Board of Directors and the servants of the holy shrine.
The ceremony began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the participation of the processions the Kadhemiyah city to hold the memorial ceremonies, carrying banners of allegiance in this painful tragedy, while they are chanting sadly, the "hymn of Paradise".
Followed by the General Secretariat of the Kadhemiyah holy shrine and delivered by its Secretary General.
Then, Dr. Sheikh Ali al-Shukri and delivered a religious lecture on this occasion, beginning with words of condolences to the awaited Imam (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance) and believers, and giving his speech about parts of the life of Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him).
During the ceremony, the secretary-general of the Kadhemiyah holy shrine received the banner of the holy shrine of the eighth Imam, Ali bin Musa ar-Redha (peace be upon him) given by the delegation of Imam ar-Redha's (p) holy shrine participating in this condolences' ceremony.
The ceremony included a soundtrack of the poem "Ya Manara Al-Abad", then the Hussayni Radood Hajj Basem al-Karbala'i concluded the ceremony with a series of elegies and condolence poems to present the condolences of the holy Prophet and Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
