In conjunction with the celebration of Eid al-Ghadeer, the Al-Kafeel Scout Association of the Children's Division at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine concluded the Comprehensive Development Program (PDC) in its second edition. The PDC was prepared for all categories of the Scouts, from 9 to 18 years, It is designed to create a youth conscious generation and an intellectually, culturally and ideologically educated youth based on the heritage of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and contribute to honing talents, discovering energies, and helping in highlight them and used them in the best way.
The closing ceremony of the program was held at the Sheikh Al-Kulayni complex with the participation of more than 500 scouts, and some Scout teams from the other governorates, as well as representatives of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.
After recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah in memory of the martyrs of Iraq and listening to the national anthem and the anthem of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, the scout members of the program embarked on a field review.
This was followed by a speech of the head of the department of intellectual and cultural affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine Sayed Laith al-Moussawi.
This was followed by the speech of the Al-Kafeel scout association, which was delivered by Dr. Zaman Al-Kinani, the Development Officer at the association. "At the end of the comprehensive development program, we thank all those who contributed to the success of this integrated program, which includes specialized courses in the religious, ideological, cultural and intellectual fields, and our sense of responsibility urged us to include lectures and workshops to facing disinformation and misleading electronic games that might destroy the family and the Muslim society."
He added: "Scouting courses, games and others have been included in the comprehensive development program, but the main purpose is the intellectual and cultural fortification of the society, especially the youth. We are following these of the supreme religious authority Sayed Ali Husseini al-Sistani, to face the cultural and intellectual attack by fortifying the awareness of our youth."
The celebration included a video presentation including a number of aspects and activities in the second development program as well as the scout activities. The ceremony was concluded by the distribution of appreciation shields and certificates to all participants and those who contributed in the success of this program.
