Sayed al-Safi speaking from Basra: Corruption in Basra is terrifying and this is what our team of experts did to solve the crisis.

The representative of the supreme religious authority sent to the province of Basra; his eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, explained many things related to the task entrusted to him by his eminence the supreme religious authority; Sayed Ali al-Sistani, to find out the problems experienced by the province, during a word he delivered on Friday morning 26th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1439 AH corresponding to September 7, 2018, the most important of which were:

- I came to this city commissioned by the supreme religious authority; his eminence Sayed al-Sistani, after the crisis of drinking water and water in general, has worsened.

- Basra deserves a lot. This city is suffering from real and huge problems. And its problem is not a superficial of simple problem.

-The city needs serious will of the government to stop corruption. Two problems that appeared in a frightening way in Basra.

-When you look at the people here, you find the simplicity, kindness and loyalty. They love their country very much, and made lot of sacrifices for the sake of this country -as everybody knows-, it is the city of martyrs.

-This city calls for everyone to pay great attention to it.

- Some will say that there are projects in the city. I do not deny it, but where are these projects? Why they are taking long times?

-I have identified this problem with the exiting team; there is a pumping station that works: R-Zero station, but it suffers from three problems; the water reaching the station, the pumping stations and the delivery network.

-After the discussion with his eminence the supreme religious authority on the problem of the pumpers, he ordered to buy the pumpers from the funds of the supreme religious authority.

- Now there is a homogeneous team consisting of some brothers in Basra and the experts who came with me to rehabilitate and erect these pumps, which will have a significant impact and of course this will solve part of the problem.

- We talked to the concerned people and told them: We are people who need concrete work. When we diagnosed the problem in the morning, we bought pumps in the afternoon. It does not need much discussion, especially after diagnosing the problem.

- Neglect, leaving things and not paying attention are the reason of the problem and its worsening.

- I repeat that the task entrusted to me by His Eminence, the supreme religious authority Sayed Ali al-Sistani, was specific, which is the diagnosis of the problem of drinking water. We diagnosed a part of this problem and thank God, the results will be felt within days.
