The Guidance and Support Committee of the Religious Affairs Department of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, provided logistical assistance to the volunteers of the popular mobilization forces in the Diyala Operations District, namely the Khanaqin area, the Hamrin mountain range and the Khan oil wells as well as the border line with the Republic of Iran.
Sheikh Haidar al-'Aredhi, head of the Guidance and Support Committee at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, was present in this campaign and explained the following to Al-Kafeel Network: "Based on the directives of the supreme religious authority to follow up the affairs of the fighters stationed in all the operations' districts, the Guidance and Support Committee of the Religious Affairs Department, has visited the fighters stationed in the Diyala operations District, to provide them with the necessary humanitarian and logistical aid. The visit included also a number of brigades and fractions of the popular mobilization in this district."
He added: "We have found these heroes full of enthusiasm and courage, despite the difficulty of weather conditions and the lack of resources, but they vowed to ensure that the criminal gangs do not subjugate Iraq. As after liberating the Iraqi lands thanks to the blood of their peers, they are now standing face to everyone who is thinking to tamper with the security and stability of this country. "
The fighters of the popular mobilization, in turn, praised the initiative of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and appreciated its permanent presence on the battlefields or in the liberated areas, stressing at the same time that such initiatives will strengthen their morale and determination.
On the other hand, the delegation has visited villages in the province, such as al-'Abbara, Meqdadya, Shakha and other. Thanking the villagers for their courage and honorable position when they were fighting the ISIL terrorist organization, despite the lack of equipment and their few number. The villagers were honored to receive the flag of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
