The condolence processions of Erbil represent northern Iraq during the commemoration of Arba'een in Karbala.

The people of Erbil and its surrounding villages organized themselves in condolence processions and came to the two holy shrines in Karbala to extend their condolences to the grandson of the Great Prophet and to his brother the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) on the Ziyarat of Arba'een.

They have expressed their happiness for the performance of these rituals, pointing out than al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) is the greatest person who brings together the Iraqi people, as he is the symbol of their unity and his shrine is the safe haven for everyone. He (peace be upon him) is an eternal human icon, whose name enlightens the paths of the oppressed peoples. And the Iraqis have been inspired by him to be determined to face the recent aggression on the country, and thanks to his blessings, they succeeded to achieve victory over the enemies.

It is worth to mention that the holy city of Karbala are currently receiving millions of visitors flocking to it from all over the world, to extend their condolences to Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and to renew their pledge and covenant.
