The Manuscripts Restoration Center holds a lecture and workshop at Babylon University.

Among the most active centers in the library and house of manuscripts at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is the Manuscripts Restoration Center, which has the responsibility of contributing to the revival of Islamic and intellectual heritage, thanks to its employees who have important expertise in this field as well as the modern and sophisticated equipment.

And based on the directions of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine for the need to expand the scope of interest and the dissemination of this successful experience to its peers in academic institutions or the private sector, the Center organized a lecture and a specialized workshop for some students of the Faculty of Arts at the Babylon University, combining the theoretical and practical aspects.

During the lecture, a detailed explanation of the manuscripts, their types and maintenance methods, were given, while the workshop focused on the practical aspect by giving live examples of the restoration of some papers.

The lecture and the workshop were attended also by the Dear of the Faculty, Dr. Saleh Kadhem, and the head of the Archaeology Department; Prof. Kadhem, as well as a large number of the faculty teaching staffs.
