The services provided by the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and the al-Abbas's (p) Squad to the provinces of Maysan and Wasit to ward off the dangers of floods.

Based on its humanitarian and national duty, and as is the custom to offer assistance to all the Iraqi people from different faiths, sects and regions in the aftermath of disasters and tribulations, the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and the al-Abbas's (peace be upon him) Fighting Squad and its Relief and Support Division, provided humanitarian, logistical and engineering assistance to the provinces of Wasit And Maysan, because of the recent floods affecting these two provinces, in response to the appeals of citizens affected by these floods.

The assistance that was sent and the efforts that were made came under the direct guidance of the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Sayed. Ahmad al-Safi, to contribute ward off the flood damage that hit some areas in Wasit and Maysan governorates, including:

1- The relief and support division of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine sent more than (200) trucks loaded with various humanitarian aids to help those affected by floods in Wasit and Maysan governorates.

2 - The engineering teams of the al-Abbas's (peace be upon him) Fighting Squad headed to the affected areas in each of the two provinces to ward off and treat the damages and to contribute to mitigate the damage caused by the flooding of some areas.

3 - The river power faction of the al-Abbas's (peace be upon him) Fighting Squad was sent to the provinces of Wasit and Maysan to perform its security and service duties.

4 - The al-Abbas's (peace be upon him) Fighting Squad called a faction of its reserve forces in Wasit to support the efforts of the local and federal government in the face of emergency conditions in the province.

5. The Relief Division provided 120 integrated food baskets, furniture, blankets, other household items and clothes of various sizes for those affected by the floods in each of the two governorates through the Noor Al Hedaya Cultural Foundation, one of the institutions of the Relief Division.

Following the stabilization of the humanitarian situation in the cities of Wasit and Maysan, and many fears and harms were eliminated and warding off the floods' danger of some villages, the local government in Wasit province thanked and appreciated the al-Abbas's (peace be upon him) Fighting Squad in appreciation of its great effort and contribution to the prevention of dangers of floods and the removal of the flood risks that have affected the province of Wasit recently.
