Kirkuk University hosts under the auspices of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine a research seminar to support the peaceful coexistence of Iraqi components.

On the occasion of the third anniversary of the liberation of Kasbah al-Bashir from the terrorist ISIL gangs, and under the patronage of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and under the slogan: (Peaceful coexistence between theory and practice), the al-Abbas's (peace be upon him) fighting squad held this morning (Thursday, 26th Sha'ban 1440) corresponding to May 2, 2019 in the Faculty of Law / University of Kirkuk an extensive research seminar to promote peaceful co-existence between the Iraqi people in accordance with an in-depth research vision and with the participation of researchers from inside and outside the governorate and in the presence of many personalities representing many institutions as well as the professors and students of the university.

After reciting verses from the Holy Quran and reciting Surah Al-Fatiha in honor to Iraq's martyrs and listening to the Iraqi national anthem, there was a speech of the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine by Sheikh Ali Al-Karawi, in which he stressed the need for cooperation, peaceful coexistence and freedom, inspired by the narration of Imam Ali (peace be upon him): 'People are of two types: either your brother in faith or your equal in humanity.'

The research session then started focusing about the principle of peaceful coexistence. The session was led by Dr. Talaat Jayyad Al Hadidi, Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Kirkuk, with the participation of:

- Father Imad Faraj Boulos Anai: His research was entitled (peaceful coexistence and patriotism in one destiny).

- Dr. Imad Al-Dhalemi: His research was entitled: (peaceful coexistence, psychological study).

- Dr. Dilshad Jalal: His research was entitled (common human rights through peaceful coexistence).

- Dr. Mohamed Jawad Zine El Abidine: His research was entitled: (peaceful coexistence in post-terrorism Iraq).

The seminar concluded by honoring the Dean of the College, who in turn honored the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, as well as honoring the participating researchers and contributors to the seminar.
