The conclusion of the fifth edition of the national Quranic team competition.

On the evening of Saturday 12th of the holy month of Ramadhan 1440 AH corresponding to May 18, 2019, the fifth edition of the National Quranic Team Competition held by the Quranic projects' Center in the Institute of the Holy Quran at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, was concluded by the victory of the team of the Najaf province.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Secretary-General of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Eng. Mohamad al-Ashigar and a number of the members of its board of directors and heads of its departments, as well as the visitors and the supporters of the teams participating in this competition.

The competition, which was supervised by the Dr. Sheikh Munjid al-Ka'bi, the reader Radood Ammar al-Kinani and the Hafez Sayed Mahdi al-Wardi, started from the first day of the holy month of Ramadhan, and was characterized by the intense competition between the participants in all stages. The winning teams were:

First: Team of Najaf, represented by: the reader Mohamad Sa'id, Hafez Fahd Hadi and Ahmad Nasr al-Din for the interpretation.

Second: Team of Karbala, represented by: Reader Sajjad Hussain, Hafez Hamid Takleef and Hamza Dakhel for the interpretation.

Third: Baghdad province, represented by: The reader Ali Jawad, the Hafez Hussain Mohamad Shalal and Fu'ad al-'Araji for the interpretation.

Fourth: Team of Waset, represented by: The reader Ali Qa'ed, Hafez Ali Farih and F'uad Fadel for the interpretation.

The winner of the first place of this competition got the honor to keep the holy dome's flag of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) for a whole year, and a Umrah, while the Karbala team got a silver shield for its second place, and Baghdad team the bronze shield for the third place. And all those who contributed to the success of this competition were honored.
