To achieve the principle of self-sufficiency: the MDF unit accomplishes for the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine dozens of important works in the projects.

The engineering maintenance department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has endeavored through the Technical Crafts Division to provide and equip the holy shrine with all the required office supplies, as well as wall coverings of high quality and durability specifications, especially in the Mdf unit, thus achieving the principle of self-sufficiency.

The Mdf workshops are equipped with state-of-the-art machinery with multi-stage machinery to complete the work required by other units, by a number of highly skilled Iraqi craftsmen and technicians.

It is worth mentioning that the engineering maintenance department is one of the supporting departments of the facilities of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and is responsible for the maintenance and sustainability works as well as manufacturing matters, which are at the heart of most of the projects implemented by the holy shrine.
