Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital provided free services of about 7 billion dinars to more than 12 thousand citizens.

The administration of the al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine provided free medical and treatment services of about 7 billion dinars to more than 12 thousand citizens of many categories from inside and outside the holy city of Karbala.

The director of the Hospital; Dr. Jassem al-Ibrahimi, stated: "Since its opening and based on the instructions of the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, the hospital has set aside space for these groups by following a mechanism to receive them and provide its services to them," stressing at the same time: "The hospital is still continuing to provide these services, according to rules set up by its administration commensurate with the huge numbers of these categories."

"The services were either surgical operations at all levels or providing medical services or treatments, some of which were provided at a reduced price. The beneficiaries of these services are received in coordination with charitable and humanitarian institutions or through the agents of the supreme religious authority inside or outside Karbala, "He said.

He pointed out that "free services are not confined to the services provided inside the hospital, but there are tours conducted by its teams, especially the" Doctors Without wage "project, which targets the remote areas and villages that suffer from the absence or lack of medical and therapeutic services. So some cases are diagnosed locally under the supervision of a specialized medical and nursing staff, who give them the appropriate treatment and refer difficult cases to the hospital."

Stressing that "the volume of funds imposed on the hospital in return for water and electricity services to the concerned ministries is very large in addition to the large amounts of wages provided to doctors and other nursing and technical staff coming from Arab and foreign countries to serve the citizens, as well as the wages of the medical, nursing, technical and administrative staff, who contributed to the provision of quality services to patients inside Iraq, without having to travel to other countries in search of treatment, which all requires huge amounts of money, and thus the services of the hospital cannot be completely for free."
