The University Relations Division supports the ambulances with paramedics from the medical students.

The University Relations Division of the Public Relations Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine was able to prepare a team of paramedics from medical specialties (medicine, nursing, pharmacy), in addition to other specialties with experience in the field of ambulance, who volunteered in Ambulances which handles emergency and dangerous cases and transfer them to the nearest medical center.

Supervisor of the activities of the Division of University Relations during the Ziyarat Arba'een at the holy shrine, Mr. Montadher Al-Safi explained to the al-Kafeel Global Network, said: "The Division participated with a group of university students after knowing their abilities and their experiences and put them in specialized courses, in the medical evacuation plan set by the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine. These teams were responsible for the presence of ambulances in the yard between the two holy shrines or on the roads leading to it and near the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him). And works on:

- Transfer the cases immediately while maintaining the stability of the case until it reaches the nearest evacuation center.



- Transfer the cases near the whereabouts of each ambulance and that require transfer to the evacuation centers.



- Transfer of critical cases in case evacuation centers are unable to treat them to a hospital.



- Assist staff in medical centers and the field hospital of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine in peak periods."



"We were able to treat, rescue and transport dozens of cases every day, as a result of severe traffic congestion among visitors," Safi said.



It is noteworthy that these activities fall within the medical and therapeutic services provided by the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine for visitors, and in which participate many bodies such as the al-Kafeel Academy of training and medical ambulance and the Department of Medicine.
