Head of the rituals and Hussayni processions and bodies in Iraq and the Islamic world of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), Haj Riyad Ni'mah al-Salman announced that: "The number of Hussayni processions and bodies that participated in the commemoration of Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), has reached 10.200 service and condolences processions, including (225) Arab and foreign processions, in addition to thousands of processions that the department could not register, as well as houses, government departments and schools that opened their doors to visitors, within the administrative boundaries of the holy city of Karbala.
He added: "These processions and Hussayni bodies carry out the activities of holding Hussayni rituals and serve visitors, through the provision of food and beverages and the provision of accommodation and other services, which are usually deployed on all roads leading to the holy city of Karbala. "
Salman explained: "The department has registered these processions in advance and deployed its employees on the roads taken by the processions, to record them and record any irregularities of the procession in order to avoid them in the future, as well as organizing their march after that a number of meetings preceded the Ziyarat Arba'een with agents and sponsors of these processions, in order to come up with the best results in accordance with the sanctity of the Ziyarat, and work to overcome all obstacles. "
