As very small activity existed before the advent of this regime in 1968, and it was ceased during 35 years of dictatorship, which did not only push them to stop but stopped most of it, such as the closure of the Central Library on the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) that was founded in 1964 ".
He explained: "The new administration under the supervision of the Supreme Religious Authority in Najaf, which was re-legitimized the holy shrines of Iraq after an absence of two centuries, reopened and developed the library and added tens of thousands of titles to them, and even added sections of indexing, authorship, the inspection of manuscripts, the electronic library and the library of the university theses as well as the Manuscripts Hospital, which is the second of its kind in the region, in addition to other developments. "
