The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is in solidarity with the families of the martyrs of the demonstrations in Dhi Qar Governorate in the city of Nasiriyah.

Continuing to support the demonstrations movement in Iraq, and in solidarity with it and in remembrance of its martyrs and sympathy for their families and loved ones, the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine sent a high-level delegation to the province of Dhi Qar, to offer its condolences to the families of the victims of the reform battle who fell while demanding their legitimate rights.

The delegation met with a large group of the families of the martyrs in the mosque and Hosseinieh Salman Al-Muhammadi, in the center of Nasiriyah, and a number of activists and dignitaries of the city who welcomed the delegation.

During the meeting, there was a welcoming speech of the families of the martyrs and the people of the city, delivered by Sheikh Hussein al-Turabi on their behalf.

There was also a word by Dr. Alaa Al-Rikabi expressing his thanks to the delegation for this visit.

This was followed by a speech of the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine delivered by Sayed. Adnan Al-Mousawi from the Religious Affairs Department therein, which he initiated by offering condolences to the families of the martyrs, and praying for the wounded for a speedy recovery.

This meeting was concluded by offering in kind and material gifts from the shrine of Abi Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), loaded with expressions of sorrow and sympathy from his servants to the families of the martyrs, who expressed their deep thanks and appreciation for this initiative, thanking the delegation for its presence among them and for sharing their sorrows and sympathies, stressing at the same time that this initiative is not strange to the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

It is noteworthy that the number of families that were honored is 77 families, while the remainder 28 other families will be visited by another delegation to console them in their homes, with the follow-up cases of a number of the injured people during the demonstrations and their treatment for free at the Kafeel Hospital.
