The Supreme Religious Reference confirms that Iraq is the master of itself and strangers have no role in its decisions.

The representative of the supreme religious authority read during the sermon of the Friday prayer of the 14th Jumada Ula 1441 AH corresponding to January 10, 2020, held at the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) the text received from the office of the supreme religious authority in Najaf, in which he stated:

“It is enough suffering for the people from wars, tribulations and adversity at various levels for decades, under the previous regimes and even the current system, so the concerned parties have to rise to the level of national responsibility and do not waste the opportunity to reach an inclusive vision for the future of this people, in which they will enjoy what the parents dreamed and was not achieved for the children to this day, which is for Iraq to be a master of its own, ruled by its children, and there is no role for strangers in its decisions. The judgment in it is based on the will of the people and is a rational ruling that works to serve all citizens, regardless of their national and religious affiliations, and provides them with a decent life and happy life in honor and safety, and is this a lot for this dear country? With his bright minds and enormous potential?!”
