The wound of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) is a wound to Islam and Muslims.

The alleged arbitration has resulted lifting the silent Qurans rather than raising the Spoken Quran -Imam Ali (peace be upon him)-, so a group of Kharijites rebelled on the Imam of their Time; Imam Ali (Peace be upon him), who has given them advice and guidance, but they increased the rebellion and hatred {Satan has overcome them and made them forget the remembrance of Allah. Those are the party of Satan. Unquestionably, the party of Satan - they will be the losers.} (58:19) so they formed a military force to kill the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) and those with him.

They prepared to fight the army of the Imam (peace be upon him), who fought them until he killed them in the battle of Nahrawan.

After this battle, a group of defeated Kharijites met in Makkah, and upon consultation with the tyrant Mu'awiyah ibn Abi Sufyan, who has the criminal Abdul Rahman bin Muljam Al-Muradi, and they consulted among themselves and they encouraged Ibn Muljam in all ways, in addition to his hatred of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). Then they gave him a poisoned sword as killing weapon, a plan and companions to protect him. And in the dawn of the 19th of the month of Ramadan in the year 40 AH, the villain Ibn Muljam al-Muradi has assassinated the Commander of the Faithful Ali (peace be upon him) by hitting the sword on his head at the time of the recommended al-Fajr prayer at the great Masjid of Kufa. At the time when the Islamic nation looked forward to the near victory over the tyrants in the Mu'awiyah camp in the Levant.

The Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) suffered from that evil and poisonous strike three days and nights, while angels in the sky buzzed with supplication, and a black wind blew and made the world dark and gloomy, and Gabriel (peace be upon him) called between heaven and earth with a voice heard by every awake person:

"By Allah, the pillars of guidance have collapsed. By Allah, the stars of knowledge of all the prophets are no longer lit, the signs of piety have disappeared. By Allah, the ropes to God [orwat-ul-wothqa] are unraveled. All because Prophet Mohammad's cousin, the chosen Wasiy, Ali the Mortada has been martyred. By Allah, the Master of guardians was killed by the most miserable of all."

The Commander of the Faithful Ali (peace be upon him) has appointed his son al-Hassan (peace be upon him) following the covenant of the Messenger of Allah (Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household). During three painful days, the Commander of the Faithful surrendered to the Will of His Lord while reading his commandments to his sons and others, calling them to establish the rules of the Almighty Allah and warning them of the retreat from the support of Islamic message. And here is some of his recommendations:

"My advice to you is to be conscious of Allah and steadfast in your religion. Do not yearn for the world, and do not be seduced by it. Do not resent anything you have missed in it. Proclaim the truth; work for the next world. Oppose the oppressor and support the oppressed.

I advise you, and all my children, my relatives, and whosoever receives this message, to be conscious of Allah, to remove your differences, and to strengthen your ties. I heard your grandfather, Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household, say: "Reconciliation of your differences is more worthy than all prayers and all fasting."

Fear Allah in matters concerning orphans. Attend to their nutrition and do not forget their interests in the middle of yours.

Fear Allah in your relations with your neighbors. Your Prophet often recommended them to you, so much so that we thought he would give them a share in inheritance.

Remain attached to the Quran. Nobody should surpass you in being intent on it, or more sincere in implementing it.

Fear Allah in relation to your prayers. It is the pillar of your religion.

Fear Allah in relation to His House; do not abandon it as long as you live. It you should do that you would abandon your dignity.

Persist in jihad in the cause of Allah, with your money, your souls, and your tongue.

Maintain communication and exchange of opinion among yourselves. Beware of disunity and enmity. Do not desist from promoting good deeds and cautioning against bad ones. Should you do that, the worst among you would be your leaders, and you will call upon Allah without response.

O Children of Abdul Mattaleb! Do not shed the blood of Muslims under the banner: The Imam has been assassinated! Only the assassin should be condemned to death.

If I die of this stab of his, kill him with one similar stroke. Do not mutilate him! I have heard the Prophet, Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household, say: "Mutilate not even a rabid dog."



So, Peace be upon the man of truth and justice in the day he was born inside the Ka'bah and in the day he was martyred prostrating in the Mihrab, and in the day he will raise alive to give water to the thirsty believers in the Hawdh.
