The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine opened this afternoon Sunday (20 Dhu al-Qi'dah 1441 AH) corresponding to (12 July 2020), the fourth Hayat building project for treating people with coronavirus in the medical city of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in Karbala, after it was completed in record time within the technical and medical specifications that fit the purpose for which it was created, by the staffs of the Engineering Maintenance Department of the Holy Shrine, and in a period of time of (25) days and over an area of (1000) square meters, to be ready at the disposal of the Governorate Health Department and the service of its people.
To be added to the buildings that were completed to treat this virus in the province of Najaf for the benefit of the Amir al-mo'minin (peace be upon him) medical hospital, and two buildings in Karbala in the medical city of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the Hindiya General Hospital, which contributed during this period to accommodate the increasing number of patients, and work is currently under way to complete three other buildings in Al-Muthanna Governorate, the capital, Baghdad, and Babylon Governorate.
The opening was attended by the Governor of Karbala, and a number of officials of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, led by its Secretary General, Engineer Muhammad Al-Ashigar, and a number of its distinguished board members, as well as the directors of the Provincial Health Department and Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) medical city.
