Unveiling the dome of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) after its maintenance and glazing

The dome of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) was unveiled this afternoon, Wednesday 22nd Dhu al-Qi'dah, 1443 AH, corresponding to June 22, 2022 after the completion of its maintenance and glazing.

The supervisor of these works and the head of the mirrors unit in the Engineering Maintenance and Construction Department of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Mr. Hassan Saeed Mahdi, said that "these works were carried out by the staff of our department, as they are the widest and most comprehensive since the nineties of the last century, and were carried out within a plan developed for this purpose characterized by accuracy and craftsmanship, and adding aesthetic touches in harmony with the architecture of the holy sanctuary and courtyard of the Holy Shrine".

He added, "The executed designs of the Islamic decorative inscriptions came in accordance with the previous inscriptions that existed in the past, with the addition of some modern technical touches, and the glass used is characterized by its high quality and resistance to ambient conditions".

It is noteworthy that these works are part of the maintenance and development of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which are carried out according to a plan developed for this purpose, in a way that suits the sanctity of this holy place.
