The completion of the installation of the side columns of the new grid of the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) on its wooden structure..

The works of the fabrication and installation of the different parts of the new grid of the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) are rising, with the completion of the installation of the side columns on its wooden structure, which have several advantages in terms of strength, durability, toughness and precision in the fabrication, and that are harmonious with the artistic and creative touches, to be added to what was previously installed, which are the lower bases of the grid and the roses of the bases.

The goldsmith Ra'd Hussein Al-Khafaji; the official of the grid's factory that belongs to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine explained to the Al-Kafeel Network the following: "With pure hearts and feelings honestly expressing the longing to serve our Master Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), the craftsmen of shrines' grid factory continue their operative work to build up the new grid of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, investing all their potential and energy in order to make the new grid more beautiful and distinct, trying to complete it as soon as possible.

Mr. Al-Khafaji explained then the following: "the side columns have features and specifications that are the first of their kind in term of manufacturing and structure like the rest of the parts of the holy grid, these 18 columns are made with pure silver of calibre 999, 2% mixed with pure gold of calibre 9999, with a weight of 19 kg and thickness of 15 mm, which means higher than the old column thickness that was of 1mm, this increase in thickness and height was not done randomly, but it was made in artistic way that was studied by increasing the proportion of gold and silver, so the new grid enjoys of a longer life and higher resistance against blackening, to make it have lustre and vivid colour."

Stating that the precision and the technology used to build up these columns and all parts of new shrine's grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas ( peace be upon him ) is the first of its kind not only in Iraq but in all the countries specialized in the shrines' grid industry.

It is to mention that the new grid of the shrine of the Master Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) was manufactured in the workshops of the crafts' factory belonging to the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine with high quality, durability and accuracy. In fact it is the first grid which is entirely manufactured in Iraq with Iraqi handicrafts-men. It is also characterized by the originality of its engravings and decorations in addition to the fact that it keeps the same overall structure and engravings of the old one, with few additions, upgrades and modifications, because of its uniqueness design comparing to the grids of the holy shrines in Iraq and in the Islamic world.
