According to the latest engineering and technical designs for the establishment of the storing complexes, in line with the international development in this field, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine initiated the establishment of an integrated storing complex (Al-Saqqa' 3), which comes in a series of infrastructure projects that will provide all services to the visitors.

The head of engineering projects Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine - The supervising authority of the design and implementation of the project- Engineer Dea' Majeed Al-Sa'egh has explained to the Al-Kafeel Network, the following: "As a result to the evolution and expansion of the facilities of the holy shrine, which follows a scientific curriculum in the storage specialized system in addition to its need for additional storing sites, the idea of establishing this complex has emerged, in serious attempt to promote the overall strategic development in its various fields and manifold aspects, which will provide tremendous storage capacity that will serve the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in the storage of the different materials that are provided to them, according to an advanced international storing system that depends on an organized method in storing goods and commodities, depending on the classification and distribution management in accordance with the international storage vision."

He added: "The project will be built on an area of 25,000 M2 and it is located in Al-Ibrahimyah region in the south of the holy city of Karbala. The concrete building is composed of a basis, columns, ceilings and concrete bridges, and will be implemented by Dubai Contracting Company Ltd, one of the specialized companies that has a relevant experience in the completion of such installations. The works of the settlement of the ground have been completed as well as the space frame truss, supplying it with an advanced lighting system, control system by cameras and a very sophisticated ventilation system, in addition to the use of the strong epoxy material in the flooring that facilitates the smooth passage of the heavy vehicles. The storing complex will be supplied by shelves according to the international storing specifications in order to allow and assist in the process of rapid inventory of stores materials."

Noting, the department of engineering projects at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has carried out and supervised -since its inception after the fall of the former regime and up to now - dozens of large projects as well as hundreds of medium and small projects within and outside the holy shrine, and most of these projects were implemented by joint Iraqi cadres from the mentioned department and national and local companies, or rarely by companies with foreign labour.
