The communications' project of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is a project in line with the best international techniques..

The head of Project Engineering Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Mr. Dea' Majeed Al-Sa'egh announced to Al-Kafeel Network: "The systems used in the communications' project are ones of the latest international communications' systems and equipments, and are a quantum leap and in line with what has been reached by the world in this field."

Adding: "the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine proceeded in a deliberate plan to introduce all that is new in all its projects, not only in architectural aspect but also in the electronic field by keeping pace with the international development. Among those projects comes the unified communications' project at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine which contains several sub projects. It is implemented by Digital Prism Company of Information Technology and under the direct field supervision of the projects' department of the holy shrine, and -thanks to God- all the preliminary tests were accomplished and it will be soon opened."

Explaining: "The project will provide the infrastructure network for the transfer of information, media, calls, images and videos to the cameras' system by using the Optical Fiber technology. It is also serves to provide very sophisticated and safe wireless network to connect computers and communication devices to reduce the wires usage in order to preserve the appearance and the view of the holy shrine as well as reducing the cost of wires' extension, the maintenance of the apparent wires and to get unlimited flexibility and freedom in the distribution of the devices and equipment within the holy shrine. In addition to the unified communications system that combines all forms of internal, local and international telecommunications via the wired, wireless, cellular and audio-visual systems, as well as video conferencing and networking with the new and old switches and connecting them with the servers of the Ministry of Communications and the international communication."

Mr. Al-Sa'egh continued saying: "The Communications' project will also provide "point to point" wireless networking systems to the various sites and services of the holy shrine in the holy city of Karbala, and create a wireless communication system as well as a roaming system to enable the free data transfer inside and outside the holy shrine, in addition to providing a system that prevents intrusions, electronic wireless eavesdropping and identifying hackers' sites."

Adding: "among the other aims of this significant project is the construction of a specialized centre for the management of the informations, the Internet, communications, controlling internet and networks entries, monitoring all parts of the network, identifying problems and sending audio and visual alert in addition to the immediate warning systems via sending text messages. And, preparing professional staff inside the holy shrine to enable them to manage this modern system by integrating them in developmental courses in the countries of origin to let them receive expertise certificates."

Concluding: "The communications' project consists of several parts, each of them is a project in itself:
1- The communications Infrastructure, cameras, security systems, e-governance, amortization, Internet and internal radio;
2- Telephone services: Local, international and mobiles;
3- Mobile communications inside and outside the holy shrine;
4- Internet;
5- Security warning."
