The Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, opened two gates to the holy shrine, while he reviewed the progress of works in the Umm al-Baneen Courtyard Project (Peace be upon her).
The opening of the gates of Imam Ali and Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon them) was attended by a number of members of the board of Directors of the holy shrine, heads of its departments, and local government officials in Karbala.
Sayed al-Safi listened to a brief explanation of the most prominent architectural and technical techniques that were followed in the rehabilitation, development and modernization of the two gates, taking into account the ancient architectural design, which combined the originality of the ancient heritage and the modernity of implementation, while the works were carried out by Iraqi hands, under the supervision of the Engineering Projects Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine.
This was followed by a field tour for Sayed al-Safi, to see the progress of work in the Umm al-Baneen Courtyard Project (Peace be upon it) next to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the proportions of its completion.
The Ardh al-Quds Company, which implemented the project, provided a summary of the ongoing work, which is progressing at an accelerated pace, and highlighted the challenges it faced from the operational point of view, and how it was able to overcome them.
The Umm al-Baneen Courtyard (peace be upon her) project is the largest with an area of about (20,000) m2, and is part of the reconstruction campaign witnessed by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine aimed at serving visitors.
