Among the specialized projects created by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine within its urban plan, the project of As-Saqqa' stores complex 3 that is witnessing continuous action movement and has achieved advanced accomplishment rates exceeding the half. This progress in works comes thanks to the concerted efforts like the cooperation of the Project Engineering Department in the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine with company executing the project "Dubai Company" by providing all the possible means to accomplish it within the specified time and the agreed technical and engineering specifications. According to the statement of the head of the Project Engineering Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Engineer Dea' Majeed Al-Sa'egh to Al-Kafeel Network that has a field tour at this important project.
He added: "The establishment of a store project designed with a special system, needs to create specific technical factors to suit the type of material that will be stored, all of which have been taken into account according to the technical and engineering specifications agreed upon. The project is built on an area of 10 acres equivalent 25000 m2, from which 7 acres will be divided to two areas built in two phases, the first is for the establishment of two storing halls, each of them is about 3250 m2, and a queries building with all its systems, while the second phase will include the establishment of an integrated management complex."
Mr. Al-Sa'egh continued: "Steel structure system was used in the construction, and each storing hall is of 9m height, the ceiling is based on 56 metal pillars separated by concrete cutters to be covered with a special material "sandwich panel" that is weather conditions and fire-resistant and characterized by thermal isolation, also separated with "sky light" to provide additional lighting."
Explaining: "The storing complex will be provided with very sophisticated systems of lighting, air conditioning, electricity, communications and ventilation, in addition to a special beautiful flooring used in the international warehouses out of "epoxy", which is a strong material that bears the vehicular traffic. I will be also provided by roads paved with concrete materials with certain specifications to support the large cargo vehicles entering this complex."
Noting, the department of engineering projects at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has carried out and supervised -since its inception after the fall of the former regime and up to now - dozens of large projects as well as hundreds of medium and small projects within and outside the holy shrine, and most of these projects were implemented by joint Iraqi cadres from the mentioned department and national and local companies, or rarely by companies with foreign labour.
