The horizontal expansion project of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is not only an constructional expansion but includes also the creation of systems, equipments and devices in sub-projects, which contribute to the development of the performance of the facilities and departments of the holy shrine, such as the service and security, among of which comes the project of the (Room control systems, security cameras and warning).
The head of the engineering projects Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Engineer Dea' Majeed Al-Sa'egh has explained to the Al-Kafeel Network the following: "This project is using the latest technical standards used locally and internationally, such as :
1- The creation of a Data Center, which includes Data raised floor, cooling system, energy subsidies system, sound insulation and the fire-fighting system.
2- the creation of Large Display System.
3- The creation of Video Management System
4- The creation of Video Analysis System.
5- The creation of Video Storage System.
6- The creation of Disaster Recovery System.
Adding: "The project is executed by the Company of digital prism for the Information Technology under the direct field supervision of the projects Department at the holy shrine, this company has made contracts with other subsidiary companies that are highly reputable international companies in this fields of competence such as: (IBM, Dell, Cisco, Millstone, Microsoft, Bluecoat, Eyevis, APC, IOmniscient...) which are keen on constantly updating their systems to serve the technological progress in the world, which is required by the holy shrine."
As for the used cameras, Engineer Al-Sa'egh has explained: "We have used the modern IP Cameras, which needed infrastructure of enormous capacity of more than 10Gbps per second. The devices used at the Data Center generate enormous heat up to 20 tons of hot air in a small space, that why we are using advanced technologies for cooling and heat insulation dedicated to the information centres, also sophisticated materials were used to isolate the sounds generated by the servers and other devices after the conduct of several field experiments."
Engineer Al-Sa'egh had concluded saying: "As a result of the cooperation of our engineering projects Department in overcoming the difficulties and obstacles, the executive company did not spare no effort for the implementation of this project by making it in the first ranks when compared to the similar projects."
